Da Vinci: A Life in Drawing
Artist in residence for Da Vinci: A Life in Drawing, at Bristol Museum and Art GalleryResponding to Leonardo Da Vinci drawings - and the very different worlds found in each of them - bycreating new drawings with a wide range of museum visitors.
The project was inspired by Leonardo’s fascination and engagement with the world around him, and how he used drawing as a tool for knowledge. That Da Vinci drew to fully know (or perceive in a new way) the object of his study, seemed an exciting departure point for teaching drawing, contextualising it as an experiment – where there was no right or wrong, just different approaches and results.
